My Story
My name is Emmie Reitzug (soon to be McNamara) and I'm a writer. Originally from Indiana, I graduated with a degree in PR and Advertising from Indiana University in Bloomington. I moved to Nashville to work in the music industry almost five years ago and have been here ever since.
I have been working as a publicist at Sony Music Nashville for over four years now. The job has allowed me to work with incredibly talented people and has brought me many memorable experiences like traveling to exciting cities, accompanying artists to national TV appearances like GMA and "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," walking artists on red carpets and countless concerts.
Through my career as a publicist, I have grown to favor writing over anything else and have found that it's my greatest strength. At the end of 2022 I decided to that I wanted to write a fiction novel, which I completed this summer (I'm aiming to get it published soon!). I recently dived into the world of copywriting as well, where I can utilize my creative writing abilities to lift up brands to effectively reach their target consumer.
Outside of work, I spend time with my family, friends and fiancé, Brian (pictured with me to the left!), here in Nashville. I love to play pickle ball, antiquing, going to Titans games and trying out different restaurants.
