My Story
My name is Emmie McNamara and I am based in Nashville, TN. Originally from the Indianapolis area, I studied at Indiana University and graduated with a degree in PR and Advertising. After college, I moved to Nashville where I began working as a publicist at Sony Music Nashville. In this role, I was fortunate to work with incredibly talented individuals and help them to build their brands and tell their stories. As a publicist, I wrote press materials like boilerplates, bios, and press releases, accompanied artists at red carpet appearances, and secured all different types of press for my artists from podcasts to national TV appearances like The Today Show and “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” After working at SMN for almost five years, I left my role in early 2024 to do freelance writing and PR, granting me more time to focus on what I love to do most: write fiction novels.
